The Talbot has been dubbed 'The Best Roots Venue in Wales'. Our regular audience certainly agrees. Some of our members told us 'Live at the Talbot'' has improved the quality of their lives, being able to enjoy top quality live music on their doorstep. Some of our audience travel from England to enjoy their favourite musicians perform in the very special and intimate surroundings of Live at the Talbot in Tregaron, Wales. Albert Lee and Hogan's Heroes, Paul Young in Los Pacaminos, Gary US Bonds, Eliza Gilkyson, Nizlopi, Joseph Arthur, the Strawbs, Gordon Haskell, Glenn Tilbrook, Kekele, The Storys are just some of an amazing ever-expanding list of artists who have graced the Talbot's stage, (see archive for gig previews and reviews, exclusive live images, and links to artists' websites).
2004 saw the release of Live! at the Talbot - Roots Off the Beaten Track, an outstanding 13-track live CD produced by Grammy-winning producer Martin Levan, and featuring highlights of our 2003-4 season. The CD is on sale at all Talbot gigs, or available direct from Red Kite Records.
NEW! THE DEAD ELEPHANT CLUB
The new club night, that will include artists from all genres of music, highlighting the fresh crop of artists that are pushing their way into the consciousness of the music business.
The name chosen for it is in honour of the unofficial Talbot mascot, a 19th century circus elephant that met its end while in Tregaron and is interred in the garden of the Talbot, it's final resting place now marked by the large stone behind the venue.

Ers y 90au, tyfodd Live at the Talbot, Celf Cambria Arts yn rhaglen o gerddoriaeth a gynhelir ddwywaith y mis, drwy gydol y flwyddyn. Cyflwynwn oreuon cerddoriaeth rwts: yn amrywio o fandiau cerddoriaeth-byd egsotig i gantorion-delynegwyr, drwy'r sbectrwm werin, jazz, roc, blws ac indi. Yr egwyddor tu ol i'n polisi neilltuo yw dangos cymysgedd o artistiaid sy'n herio a symbylu'r gynulleidfa, rhai yn fyd enwog, yn arwyr sy'n mwynhau dilyniant cwlt, rhai ar fin gwneud enw i'w hunain, ond pawb yn sefyll mas yn eu maes. Mae'r rhestr a fu ar lwyfan y Talbot yn dyst (gweler yr archif am adolygiadau ac adroddiadau, delweddau byw cyfyngedig, a'r cyswllt i wefannau artistiaid). Mae pawb eisiau dychwelyd i ganu i ni dro ar ol tro. Yn wir, mae llawer yn llwyddo i wneud hynny.
